Yet, now that it is here I realize that I'm not having as much fun as I thought I would be.
I think this is because I have to look for a Summer job, and let's just say it is not going very well.
But aside from that, I'm enjoying not being super stressed all the time...and I'm back in California so that helps. The mild Mediterranean climate is helping some.
Anyway, I mentioned in my about me that I LOVE, ADORE, AM OBSESSED WITH, etc music...but I have yet to post anything, so this will be my first such post.
I think I'll start with my top 10 summer playlist. These are songs I like to listen to as I jog around CA, tan on the beach, or get ready to go out. In no particular order:
1. "Lolita" by Throw Me the Statue. This song is the essence of Summer written down and transmitted through song.
2. "Ride to California" by Paper Tongues. This is an up and coming band with lots of talent and great beats. Check 'em out!
3. "Girls and Boys in Love" by The Rumble Strips. This is just a feel good song by a cool British band.
4. "Ragoo" by the Kings of Leon. This song is just pure Southern goodness.
5. "Summer Grof" by The Spinto Band. A great feel good song about Summer. Perfect for a day at the beach or poolside if you are like Kimchi and are stuck inland this Summer :(
6. "To Kingdom Come" by Passion Pit. This song always makes me happy. Maybe it can do the same for you?
7. "Neoviolence" by the Tough Alliance. Pretty catchy song by some Swedish guys.
8. "Gfc" by Albert Hammond Jr. I love The Strokes and I really like Albert's side project. Check out both of his albums!
9. "D'yer Mak'er" by Led Zepplin. A Classic. 'Nuff said.
10. "Lions" by The Features. Pretty sweet song I like to listen to while I drive. I'm seeing them this summer too!
